More Than Just "How Did We Do?"

More Than Just "How Did We Do?"

There is a new way for visitors to share their experiences at the Museum of Making Music. This month, we launched an exit survey system available both on an iPad in the museum store and through take-home bookmarks with QR codes.

We're using two complementary surveys that we will rotate monthly. Our "Experience" Survey digs into the details, asking visitors to rate everything from exhibit quality and staff friendliness to audio samples and navigation. Our "Demographics" Survey helps us understand who's walking through our doors, how they heard about us, and what brought them to the museum. Together, these surveys give us a complete picture of both the visitor experience and our audience.

The surveys take just 2-3 minutes, and visitors can complete them on the iPad before they leave or take a bookmark home to fill it out later. We're handing out bookmarks with every admissions receipt, making it easy for visitors to share their feedback after they've had time to reflect on their visit.

Every response helps us understand what's resonating with our visitors and where we can improve. Whether it's insights about exhibit quality and the visitor experience, discovering how visitors found us, or hearing what inspired someone to explore music further, we're listening. These insights will directly shape how we continue to create engaging experiences for music lovers of all ages.
