At the Museum of Making Music, our exhibits are, of course, vital to our mission. But they would only be half as impactful without the passionate volunteers who bring them to life, offering visitors a deeper connection with the instruments and their stories.
Our volunteers are a true cornerstone of the Museum, and each year, we honor one exceptional individual with the title of "Volunteer of the Year." This year, we are proud to recognize Clint Egleston for his unwavering dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to the Museum, its visitors and its exhibits.
Clint’s contributions go far beyond guiding tours and interacting with guests. Combining his love of music with his talent for woodworking, he has played a key role in crafting beautiful display elements for special exhibitions as well as some of the Museum’s most unique interactive instruments.
What truly sets Clint apart is his ability to connect with visitors. Whether sharing the stories behind the instruments or encouraging guests to try their hand at playing one, his infectious passion makes every visit memorable. “I’ve met incredible people from around the world, and the friendships I’ve made with fellow volunteers have been some of the most rewarding parts of this journey,” Clint shares.
Despite all that he gives to the Museum, Clint remains humble, always driven by his love for music and community. “I’ve gained far more than I’ve given through my volunteer work—it’s been a truly enriching experience,” he reflects. His impact on the Museum and the people he’s inspired will continue to shape our future for years to come.
The Museum relies on its volunteers to continue connecting visitors with the world of music. If you’re interested in joining our passionate, motivated team, we’d love to hear from you!
