New Exhibitions Coming in 2026

In 2026 at the Museum, there will be new and exciting special exhibitions. We’ll kick things off in February by welcoming a remarkable guitar collection from the renowned Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the school released rare, historic Nicaraguan rosewood and mahogany to a select group of alumni and leading guitar companies, who transformed the wood into 50 one-of-a-kind guitars. This exceptional collection offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience master craftsmanship and musical history brought to life. The collection will first debut at the 2026 NAMM Show before making its way to the Museum of Making Music. We will have an opening reception for members on February 14th, 2026 and we will open the exhibit to the public on February 15th, 2026. The exhibit will only be on display for one month, until March 15th, 2026, so be sure not to miss it!

Then, in March, we’ll present Fresh Picks of ’26: Highlights from the NAMM Show, which will be on display until August 2026. This special exhibition features cutting-edge instruments and gear, generously loaned by leading companies premiering their newest products at the NAMM Show, giving visitors an exclusive first look at the future of music innovation and special insight into the NAMM Show. This exhibit will be on display from March 15th, 2026 through August 15th, 2026. We are so excited to share these markers of innovation, creativity, and universal engagement with you!
